Leanne is a family solicitor and collaborative lawyer who specialises in child care disputes along with the financial matters arising on separation and in divorce proceedings.
She advises on child arrangements orders (including orders for shared care, where a child lives and who they spend time with) and other children orders involving decisions about a child’s travel, education or medical treatment. She is also experienced in advising separated parents who would either like to move to a different part of the UK or take their children abroad to live with them on the best legal course of action.
She has been involved in various cases with an international aspect concerning European countries, the USA, New Zealand and the Philippines. Leanne has a solid background in dealing with contentious financial disputes via negotiations, court proceedings and other forms of dispute resolution. She advises on all financial claims following separation and divorce including orders for capital payments, maintenance and school fees. She also advises on relationship agreements, such as pre-nuptial/post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements for unmarried couples. Leanne is a trained Collaborative Law practitioner and is a member of Resolution. She is also a member of the Manchester YRes committee. Leanne is ranked in the 2021 edition of Chambers and Partners as an ‘Associate to Watch’ who has experience representing clients in financial remedy proceedings and private law children matters.
